Q: Can SCFA be a sponsor in my project?

A: No, SCFA cannot be a sponsor in a project. The only financial support that SCFA provides is in the form of grants. Grants are awarded to individuals or organisations only if they submit a proposal within a calls deadline and fulfill all its eligibility criteria. 

Q: Where can I find the application form and application guidelines?

A: Each call has its own specific application form and application guidelines. The link to download these documents will be posted in the end of the call’s notification article.

Q: Can state institutions apply for support?

A: No, state institutions cannot apply for support.

Q: Can I apply with more than one proposal?

A: You can apply with more than one proposal only if a call has more than one topic of interest. In that case, you can only submit one proposal per topic of interest.

Q: I have been awarded a grant during the first phase of SCFA. Am I eligible for support?

A: Yes. Successful applicants from the first phase of SCFA are eligible to apply for support during the second phase.

Q: I have been awarded a grant during the second phase of SCFA. Am I eligible for support again during this phase?

A: No. Applicants are not eligible for support more than once during a project’s phase.

Q: What language should I apply in?

A: SCFA accepts applications in English or Albanian. It is enough to apply in one of the two languages.

Q: Can artists of other nationalities get support from SCFA?

A: The goal of SCFA is to empower the Albanian Independent Cultural Scene. Artists of nationalities different from Albanian are not excluded from support, provided they fulfill the following conditions: They are residents in Albania for a long period of time; their artistic activity is based in Albania; they collaborate with Albanian artists; the project is entirely implemented in Albania and performed to an Albanian audience. 

Q: I am an Albanian artist that lives/studies abroad. Can I get support from SCFA?

A: The goal of SCFA is to empower the Albanian Independent Cultural Scene. Albanian artists who live/study abroad are not excluded from support, provided they fulfill the following conditions: The project is entirely implemented in Albania and performed to an Albanian audience; They guarantee to be in the country during the entire time necessary for project implementation and reporting; They are or have previously been active in the Albanian independent cultural scene. 

Q: Does SCFA support Albanian artists for travel or exhibition abroad?A: No. SCFA does not support Albanian artists for travel or exhibition abroad.
